Question:
I am building a kit car and am looking for a simple motor mount that bolts directly to the chassis without a bunch of extra crap on it. Simple is the word. It is a 3.8 liter transverse engine and i don't like the looks of the stock mounts, besides- they don't line up to my chassis.
Answers:
I heard a light rattling sound when turning on the key to start. The engine wouldn't crank at all. Why?
you could use any mounts that will hook to the engine and weld a brace to the chassis to support it. It might be best to use original so engine rocking or vibration don't result. All depends on your set up though. If you know what your doing you can make the mounts yourself and might be the lightest way, if weight is an issue.
