Fuel injector will not spray?

Question:
i have a 89 camaro the fuel injector will not spray so i went out and got a noid light to chcek to see if the ecm was telling the injector to spray but when i unplug the fuel inject and plug the noid light up the light did not come on i turned the car to the on position and try to crank it and both time the light did not come on any help to why the light did not come on or blink

broken wire? dirty connectors? get down to basics.. start with the simple things first. check your grounds.

Can it be fixed for cheaper?

one of the wires at the injecter connecter will , or should, have 12 volts with the key on. if it doesnt, check the injecter fuse , im thinking its a 3 or 5 amp fuse. should be marked "inj" on the fuse panel. check all fuses. if you have 12 volts with key on, but noid lite still will not blink when cranking engine, then likely the ecm is bad. ecm toggles the ground to fire the injecter(s). it does not supply voltage. no matter what anybody else gets on here and says.the voltage comes from switched ignition. if the noid lite does not blink, then replacing the injecter will not help, now, will it. think about it. like i said, check all fuses 1st. go for simple stuff 1st.

Change places with the bad injector and a good injector. You have to have a special tool to check the electricity to an injector because the electricity flows to the injector for such a short time.
If the miss stays on the same cylinder, the problem will be with the wiring. On newer vehicles, if a spark plug is bad and not firing the computer will shut off fuel to that cylinder to keep from ruining the catalytic converter.

Did you check the fuse panel. I think these cars have fuses that control each bank of injectors. Check that first. otherwise it could be the ecm. good luck!
