My car no more runs smoothly. why?

Question:
It was running very smooth and pick up was good but I have noticed since few days it makes more noise and also pick up is very poor. This started after I visited to a workshop to get a small dent repaired. I left car there for 2 day. What went wrong?
Had the mechanic done something mischivious?

Do you have to remove the bumper or fender to remove headlights(hole thing not just the bulbs) on a 98 neon?

Where was the dent? If it was around the engine bay, then the mechanic might of had to either take something off the car or he may of knocked something. If your car does not pull as well as it used to then the most probable thing is the timing is out. To re-time it is easy. You can do it yourself but will need a timing light to get it perfect. I have just port and polished my cylinder head and have not yet timed it up properly. If you know anything about cars then you should know about your distributor. This is where your spark plug leads attach to the other end from your cylinder body. Unfasten the distributor from your engine, but only just enough so you can move it slightly. Have the engine running and move it slightly one way or the other. You will either hear the engine running better or worse, which ever way you turn it.
If this isn't the problem then it could be the engine is getting enough fuel - check fuel pumps. Could be due to not having enough air intake. If the car seems to be using more fuel do to it not running right then it most probably is your timing. But the easiest way to get it solve it take it to a garage, but then you have to pay, and it may be some money. Not Good!

Hi i have a problem with my skoda (dont laugh) felicia 1.3 lxi plus..if i accelerate in any gear my car revs?

yeah, sure. that evil little gnome mechanic who fixed your dent thought it would be funny to **** with your engine. yeah. of course, because your car is one of those special ones that never breaks, its a perfect machine.
i mean, i could see why he would do it. he obviously looked at the dent, became overwhelmed with rage, and had to take it out on your poor engine.
please.
mechanics have to be productive. if something goes wrong after they work on your car, and they have to look at it again, its a huge loss for them (time). this is avoided at all costs. they have no reason at all to sabotage your car, its highly unlikely unless you went to a very crooked shop, and acted like a real asshole, and got a really unstable mechanic. again, very unlikely.
no? ok. i guess your right, it must be like the movies, when you say, "how much will it be?", we all snicker, stroke our long shitty greasy goatees, intimidate you with a pipe wrench and say "how much you got, boy?" get real.

have anyone heard of using a bilge blower on an intake?

I would suggest you go in for a tune-up at the Maruti authorised garage. While performing the work there might have been some clogging of the filters or something which result in non-smooth running. A routing service should take care of the problem.

i have a 96 grand marquis im lookin for another motor to put in, it has a 4.6L im wondering if a 5.0 will fit?

Points for you for guessing! obiviously your mechanic screwed you car. But you can't do anything about it, can you. I guess he must accelerated very high on lower gear and that's why you are not getting pickup and your engine is making noise. Your engine maybe severally damaged internally.
