Car starts fine, shifter slides thru R N D very easily. Car will not move at all. Like stuck in park.?

Car starts fine. When I pull shifter from park it slides thru Reverse Neutral and Drive very easily. when press gas car will not move in any gear. Drove fine the other day. Not understanding what the problem could suddenly be.
