The orange light on my switch over from petrol to gas is flashing and my car wont start.it is a rover 623 on?

Obviously it's not switching over as it should. Does it run on either petrol, or propane? If so, leave it on that position so you can drive it in to be seen and fixed.

Your car should have a separte control unit for lpg and your car will start on petrol and then change to gas. It may be out of petrol and trying to start on gas and this is why it may not start.

I had the same problem with a 78 Dodge Power wagon. The gas cut off plunger became magnetized, and would not hold open. I always switched over while running down the road and never encountered any problems with restarting until the plunger became magnetized. It would open just long enough for the engine to run a little while then go shut.
