97 Chevy door won't stay closed?

Question:
I love Chevy's and have driven different models for 15 yrs; anyway, the thing I dislike are their heavy doors.I noticed that after awhile the doors get heavy and have problems staying closed. That's the case w/mine. What do I need to do to fix the problem. I have to literally slam the door hard and then it cracks open again.
What is there to do?

Answers:

Regular bulbs or leds?

There is corrosion or dirt on the locking mechanism. I use a BG product to release frozen nuts from bolts and it works great. After soaking with the BG, use a silicone type lubricant on all the moving parts and your problem should be solved. I sometimes use a Teflon based lubricant to to the job.

Replaced the Radiator on my accord last week, and this week the water pump failed. Are they related?

you need to adjust the door.probably you need to replace the pins and bushings.
