Question:
I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid. If I put pressure on the accellerator and start the car it will continue running, but as soon as I let off the accellerator, it will die. I've looked around and thought it might be either the camshaft position sensor or the throttle position sensor. Does anyone have any ideas?

How to change a roof seal in a leaky RV?
Dale ,A friend of mine had one just like you have and it was a broken wire that went to cam position sensor. It could be a parcially stuck open EGR valve.(this condition would cause the engine to die at idle. Also check for vacuum leaks in the engine compartment.THe TPS should read about one volt on the middle wire, key on engine off.(closed throttle)Could be a vacuum leak at the fuel pressure regulater.Check all hoses.whats a good price to get front brakes put on and rotors resurfaced on a 2004 honda civic?

This has OBDII, get the malfunction codes read. As mentioned above, could be the EGR, or several other things.More Questions & Answers ...
