Whats going on w/my car?

I may be mistaken but I think you have two OS and or one with what is called a preheat OS and that may need replacing as well, best thing to do is go to Auto Zone and have a scan run on the vehicle with the OBD-ll scan tool, its usually free and see if there are any codes, on the other hand you might need to reset the computer to get rid of the message, don't forget to check the wiring to the OS to be sure its clean and tight.

What is the difference between 76 gasoline and valero gasoline? What is better for my 2002 chevy s10?

here is a simple trick to see if it is a problem that needs more sensors. unhook the battery terminals for several minutes. rehook . this allows the computer to reset its memory. if the light comes on you may have gotten a faulty sensor. or did the vehicle have more than one.if so the others may be bad.
