Electronic Stability Control??

Question:
Just bought a new car with this feature...just wondered if I should turn it off or just leave it on all the time? Does it ruin the engine or tires if left on all the time?? Thanks for your help :)

You should leave it on, basically it provides braking and engine management to reduce the likelyhood of fishtailing and other losses in traction. You would want to disbale it to peel out and for other driving at the envelope. In your daily driving it is best to keep it on, and it will not provide excess wear on the vehicle

Many vehicles don't even give the option of turning this off. Someone I know decided to excersize his constitutional right to disable the stability ctrl system, and the next thing he saw was a concrete barrier in the middle of his car's hood. Leave it on.

I have a 1952 riley Rm and I want to know if I can transfer the interior and body into a modern car,?

Leave it on.It will not affect the Motor, Tires, or life of your vehicle in anyway...The only time that it is actually active is in a slip or panic situation..It is a very nice feature to have ,and to be honest it will probably add life to your vehicle...It in that opportune moment might keep you out of the ditch...ha ha

2002 530i gasoline requirements?

It works by actually reading the speed of each wheel on your car...If it notices a wheel going faster than the other threee, it transfers power to the wheels that still have traction by applying brake power to the faster wheel to slow it down...All these calculations are done in milliseconds. These calculations also take into account, vehicle speed, engine RPM, transmission gear range, steering wheel position and speed, tempature, throttle position, ect.

So, I would leave it on...It may save you some major expense later..But again, it will not add any additional wear to your vehicle...
