Question:
We just had 2 new tires put on rear. 3 months ago, the front tires were replaced. But ever since the rear tires were installed my car vibrates on roads/freeways that have definite grooves in them. It almost feels like my tires are going to fall off. And yes, my husband and I checked the tires....they are on tight! Does anyone have any idea what could make this happen? Could it be that the rear and front tires are different models?

How much should it cost to replace a wheel bearing in a 1995 Monte Carlo?
I woould take it back to where you had the tires installed and ask to have them re-balanced. It is quite possable the balancer could have been out of calibration (doesn't take much) or check for ice or mud build up on the inside of the wheels.is it bad to drive your car with out letting it warm up all the way?
Make sure all the tire sizes are the same. If the car shakes more and more the faster you go, that is almost always a sign that some of the tires need rebalancing. Maybe the shop forgot to balance the new tires. Look at the wheel rims to see if there are any wheel weights in place like on the other tires. You could rotate the new rear tires to the front and see if the vibration moves to the front of the car, but I'd go back immediately to the place you got the tires and have them rebalanced. They should do it for free.Sounds like a front end alignment. Specificly the "toe in"
Also, yes...All 4 tires need to be the same.
Is it advisable to install an In Built Sunroof in a car?
either the wheels aren't balanced properly. or some Tyre's are directional, some it doesn't matter at all but some to improve grip are only ment to turn one way this is common, but what your problem could be is some Tyre's are two way directional this means they can only go on the left or right of the car of the car, if this was mixed up it has all sorts of affects and none are good. to find out check the spec on the side wall of the tyre. it is either wrote on it or displayed in arrowsMore Questions & Answers ...
