Is there a web site that will tell me average costs on a service performed by a mechanic. I want to change both back shackles on my chevy silverado and I would like to know what I can expect to pay for the service.

Don't know of a website, but it shouldn't be more that an hour of labor to replace two shackles. Why do you want to replace them? If they are bent/broken, this could extend the time to remove them. If you are just installing longer shackles, like for a lift, then this time should be about right.I need to find some replacement door panels.?
Ask the service manager at the shop for a quote. He should be able to estimate the hour(s) it will take and give you a maximum cost to perform the job. If it seems high, get another quote from another shop.
