Question:
Hello, I have a manual 1987 supra turbo @ 86,000 miles that keeps choking. It'll start up with no problems and idles fine, but when I put it in any gear and try and drive past 2,500 RPMS it will choke. I can never drive past 2,500 RPM. Can anyone tell me whats is wrong with my car? thank you

If the car is turbocharged it sounds like the vane or impeller is clogged up with debris or varnish, you can take it apart and clean it,if that dosen't work its going to cost some $Sounds as if the turbo is not giving boost is your turbo boost gage working? if it has boost I would check the mass air flow sensor good luck

CHECK THE FEEDBACK HOSE FROM THE TURBO!Why & what makes Synthetic engine oil better ?
at around 2,500 rpm, the turbo kicks in... if the air-fuel ratio is wrong, the car will <obviously> choke...
BUT if this fails.. take it to a dyno and have them look at it.. (boost, AF, ignition, etc.). I probably don't need to tell you this but if you have a computer box, piggyback ECU, or AF controller, have them tune it correctly...
goodluck! let us know how it turns out
