Could have open circuit in the water temp. sensor when hot and would not start.Could also have a broken wire close to water temp sensor plug in.Sounds like maybe you torque converter solenoide is bad. You would need to remove the side trasmission pan to replace. What you can do to see if this is problem unplug the connector in front of the trnasmission and drive with it disconnected all day and see if it starts when warm. The check engine light is gonna come on but dont worry about that for this test. If it starts then thats your problem. Let me know what happenes.
sounds like th ignition module
You may want to check your fuel pump relay. They tend to fail in this fashion. once the relay heats up it will cut out. Locate where the Relay is and have a spare on hand. Next time this happens, grab the new relay pop the hod replace the fuel pump relay and try to start the car. It's likely it will fire right up. You have made the repair while on the road and you don't have to worry about it again. Or at least for another 120K.
