-install new spark plugs
-visually inspect ignition wires, distributor cap/rotor, filters, and more
-set timing / adjust idle (if applicable)
How long could a car with a full tank of petrol run idle for? I've always wondered.?
my car has 90,000 and im not sure when the last time it had a tune up since we got it used 30,000 miles ago. I'm scared since it says they just look at stuff that if theres something wrong theyd just charge more

So they are giving you new plugs for $35 and thats it! Nothing else... inspecting, anyone with half a brain can look at any part under the hood, inspecting means absolutely nothing! You can get plugs for $1.50 each..... I would go somewheres else..... for $35 I can get new plugs and wires, oil and filter, and air filter.

i my opinion no.because they are just inspecting the wires and cap and so on.they should be replaced since you have been driving it for and extra 60,000 miles.also you cannot avoid changing the transmission oil thats a big one.uhhh the air filter would be good to.is it possible to add lugs to your drum set?
Sounds like a good price to me, so much depends on the reputation of shop tho. A real good mechanic will always tell you what should be replaced or could cause you trouble down the line but he won't force you to feel like you have to get it done by him. Check with friends and family about the experiences they've had with the shop you think you'll use, the best advertising is word of mouth when it comes to cars.How much should i pay for an engine swap?
35 dollars just covers the cost of the parts, jump on it, BUT, tell them that all that you are authorizing them to do is replace spark plugs and INSPECT the rest. what these type of places that offer specials that good are trying to do is lure you in so they can get yo to spend more money. Don't use chain shops. Get a mechanic for life and use them for maint. as mucha s possible. You should just need plugs(maybe) but it is time for the tranny to be flushed/filled and a new filter. You'll be glad if you keep the car forever that you took care of the transmission.More Questions & Answers ...
