Actual maintenance costs for auto and manual?
You have a bad fuel filter. My old car used to do that too. Especially painful when it happens at the bottom of an on ramp. Don't keep your foot pressed on the gas pedal when it's doing this, you can flood your engine. When it's finally taking off, gas has had a chance to get through the clog and into the carburator. A new fuel filter may run you anything from $50 to $100 depending on where you take it and labor.I have a camry 2005. I used Mobil 1 10w30 but in the Mobil site they said my car require 5w30.?
Possible fuel supply problem. Check for broken, pinched, leaking fuel lines. Check and replace fuel filter if you have one. When was the last time you had plugs/wires/cap/rotor replaced? How about the vacuum advance on the distributor. Make sure the vacuum lines are where they should be.How much would it cost to make a stock 2005 civic or srt-4 do 0-60 in the low 5s?
This might be a timing belt issue. Have it checked to make sure it hasn't jumped a tooth.1995 Olds Aurora fuel system problem?
Those 2.2 Dodges when the get older (80k+)have issues that replacing the ecm changes (remove battery/ inside the fenderwell). Auto shut down, voltage regulator (in most), engine timing (and just about everything else) is controlled by this box. I replaced several in my years as a mechanic... it will run like a different car.It does eventually take off...ruling out a plugged converter, jumped timing belt (replace every 60k), and the other usual suspects. It might be the Throttle position sensor. but I doubt it, and there would be a check engine light.
