Question:
I am thinking I got a bad part. I replaced the Master cylinder 2 months ago. It just went out again. fluid all on the outside of the Master cylinder ran down the inlet to the Slave cylinder and none in the Slave cylinder area. Anyone know of any reason the Slave could cause the Master to go out.

What would make my 96 escort lx run rough after cam sensor replaced?
Ya bleeding a Ranger is fun the bleed screw couldn't be more inaccessible.I believe that if it worked fine for two months you got a bad one. If you replace this one and it fails then it's pull the tranny time
Good luck on getting any relief from Ford as, I know this is only a dealer item, I guess no one else wants to make such a cheap part..Hope it's not a 4X4
There is absolutely no adjustment on the rods or anything, We have done several '02, '03's It's really a crappy part
What all needs to be done when flushing the transmission on a 2000 Honda Accord?
i own a shop, and if you bleed it wrong they will go back out there's a special procedure in the repair manual for this ,and if you didn't follow it,this could have made it go back out again,a friend of mine went through two of these and he finally figured it out,you need a good repair manual on it,and read it good, hope this helps. How much power steering fluid do I need?
taking for granted You had bleed it right ,other wise wouldn't work for 2 month.the adjustment betwin, the pedal push rod and the master cylinder, is too long. meaning, the slave cylinder do not spread back all the way.
if you install a new one, the same way,you will break it again.
Slave can't cause damage to master. Poorly made master cylinder is the reason for repeat failures.
