My 91 buick park ave.is getting power but will not start ,the starter just clicks what could it be?
Lady I know who you are, how dare you blast my skeeter on the web. skeeter has paid for itself 3 times over, I love my car, and it is just in need of a little care from a good mechanic.Skeeter gets almost 500 miles to a tank of gas, the a/c works and the radio is great. It shifts smooth. And I dont get into wrecks I just cause them. I get no respect on the highway. Its paid for the insurance is cheap, and all parts for it are cheap. get of my back about skeeter, you just want me to buy a new car. I know who you are.. PS and by the way it is not spewing oil, my friend looked at it and said it just needed the oil filter tightened from getting an oil change... You really dont have a clue miss noclue... And yes you are my friend but if you keep upsetting me about skeeter you won't be my friend nor will you ride in skeeter ever again. Your soon to be ex friend Rican....... ITS A GEO!!Well, your first problem is that its a Geo Metro. Those things were built so light and cheap its a wonder they're still on the road.
As for oil, WHERE is it leaking? Through the intake? Out the pan? Out of a seal?
As for fuel economy problems, when was the last time the car has had any proper work done to it? Such as plugs, wires, filters, O2 sensor, injector cleaner, intake cleaned, etc. That would help your fuel economy significantly. Properly inflated tires do wonders as well.
The fact that it is a Geo is not good. I once had a Geo Storm. Man it stayed in the mechanic's shop way more than it stayed on the highway. Good Luck!

Change PVC valve. GEOs were good cars till G.M.screwed them up. The older ones will go over 200,000miles easy.

i own a shop and those engines was bad to do that,usually when they start doing that their in need of a head gasket,those engines really don't last too long at all even if you take care of them the don't last good so get what you can out of it,and replace it when it goes out,they will spit oil out if pressure builds up in the engine,and for them this is common,good luck i hope this helps.Engine noises on 51 corsa c (uk)?
Is it running rough too? From the little you say, it may be really bad rings, pushing the engine compression right up through the engine crankcase and oil passages...not good at all.Sounds like it's ready to be put out to pasture, friend, or Get out the shot gun and put 'er outta her misery.
