Question:
What do you think of your "Bro's" who deliberately go out of their way to cause Harley owners to despise the riders of foreign bikes?
Answers:
Even people who don't ride at all have their opinions about what brand of motorcycle someone is riding.that's just plain wrong in my book. A lot of those folks think they can answer questions here too.
If you want to use the current cliche' of "Old School" fine...that's what I am. But my bikes aren't

Kawasaki Zr-7 1999, what single seat conversions are available?
I like HD and choppers but i think the rivalry really started with the HOG riders. The guys on the harleys are the real dickheads. First most of them dont wave at you when you pass them (a sign of disrespect) and they look all hard at when you burn them at a stoplight or when you pull up next to one and say "whats up nice bike" they dont even look at you. After a few years of getting treated like that from the Harley riders i stated to do the same thing to them. I dont wave to them anymore i dont say anything to them at stop lights and i burn them them every chance i get. It all started with them.
Maybe they are insecure about how their bikes can wake up the whole town but cant beat a a Chevy Cobalt from 0-60 i dont know the reason. but its the HD riders who are so wound up about their poorly made bikes which by the way MOST HD PARTS ARE NOT MADE in the in the US like they all wanna believe. So the HD riders about that.
Where should I take my 1974 Honda CB550 for a tuneup in Chicago?
DISCLAIMER: Not all the HD riders are like that just the ones who think they are hard asses cuz they hava a Harley, the majority of them are just normal people out for a joy ride and like the metrics as much as their bikes now that's a enthusiast.
First of all, I don't believe that all of the "bro's" go out and deliberately go out of their way to make harley owners hate foreign bikes. For lack of a better understanding, let me give you an example. Way back in the 70's I owned a Dodge van. The starter for all Dodge's, plymouth's and chrysler products had that starter motor that seemed forever to get the engine started. I had a 71, a 74 and a 77 model and they were all like that. Anyway, I stopped buying Dodges, and continued to assume that they still had the samd starters in them. I was surprised to find out that they changed them or did something to them to fix the problem. I was dealing with a "fact" that I had learned a long time ago, and still believed that was true. The same with Harley's. People in general, and myself included always were told by other Harley owners that you could ride one for an hour, then have to spend three hours tightening the nuts and bolts. Or that everytime you let the bike sit for a day in the garage, you'd have to put a bucket under it to catch all of the oil and other fluids that dripped from it. For years I had that belief, and it wasn't until 2005 that I learned that Harley had changed for the better. I bought my first Harley then and have one today. Granted, the HD still stands for "High Dollar", but the riding experience is second to none. The people, or at least most of them that talk badly about Harleys, be they rice burner owners or people who don't ride, are just using stereotypes of days gone by.
This attitude towards the metrics goes back to the original "bikers". The WWII veterans who came home from the European and Pacific Theaters to taste some of the freedom they fought, bled, and watched their friends die for.
the attitude of not sending money to the people they fought against, i.e.; Japan, Germany, has been passed down through the generation(s).
they are not hard a55es, they don't think they are better than anyone else. They are simply loyal to the United States of America, and those who have fought, and died for YOUR rights to ride the JapCrap if you so choose.
Get over yourself, and show some civic pride. Buy a real motorcycle.
Oil leaking out of the oil filler cap?
Be kind and civil and no problem. Can we all ride together in a safe manor as to support Motorcycling? Ride on.Does anybody have the paint colour codes for a red and white 1998 yzf1000r thunderace?
I ride metric because of the attitude I have seen from a LOT of harley riders and do not want to be assosiated with that kind of attitude. The harley riders I know who are friends of mine dont care what anyone else rides. Personally I would rather spend my free time riding instead of spending all my time working on my ride. Has harley gotten better? No dispute here, but they are still a much higher maintenance machine than my " rice burner " Later. Goin for a ride. What are the breaking distance for motorbikes?
Well.there's a tiny part of me that feels it's payback for all the crap I've had to put up with.Which is the best b150 c.c bike in india?
But it's a pretty small part that I keep deliberately tamped down because I really don't need to expand on my ***** factor.
I will be purchasing my first bike in a month or two yet.?
I MOSTLY think that baiting in either direction just stirs up negative feelings on both sides and it gets built upon and blown out of proportion and then your happy day is tainted a bit.
Can't we all just get along?
How many different types of transmissions do motorcycles have?
Metrics and panheads unite against the cagers.
Is a 1997 GSXR 750 a good bike or should you go newer?
Who cares what you ride as long as you are riding.Let the wind hit your face and enjoy the ride. It's gettin nice outside.Does any one know what is this part on superbike?
I've been riding over 50 years. 2nd generation. My father(a factory H-D rider and later "metric" dealer) taught me to wave at all bikes. I still do. I own "metric" bikes and 2 Buells. I've noticed over the years more and more that the Harley riders don't wave at you if you're on a "metric". There are actually publications in the Harley shops where the journalists or contributors encourage their clan to flip off "metric" bikes! I have read at least one of them. "Thunderpress". Supposedly we are some kind of traitors. Have you ever noticed how many "metric" parts and bolts are on a Harley! The Harley riders won't even wave when I'm on the Buell because they think it's "metric" at first glance down the highway. They don't even appreciate their own kind. I laugh at how ignorant that is. I STILL WAVE! We don't make Harley riders despise us... they do a fine job all on their own.Ok I am not a ******** as you describe I ride metric and I don't cut down Harley's but I sure hear and see alot more Harley riders cut down people who ride rise than metric riders cutting down Harley's. I see posts in magazines all the time about metric riders being taunted by Harley guys. I haven't seen to many the other way. sorry just what I read and have heard personally. (I am not saying you do you may be a cool guy but you are just one there are alot out there who hate anyone that buys rice)
Not everyone who rides is my "Bro". That's kind of a yuppie Harley rider thing. You know, the guy whose HD has never seen a raindrop or a bug but looks down on real riders. Who gives a sh!t what they think , anyhow?
How to perform the perfect bike wheelie?
These people actually own motorcycles..or they just hang out on the sidewalk and look like they do?i'm with the folks that say "JUST RIDE"
Why is my oil cap/dipstick popping off when I put my Harely in gear after warming it up?
i ride a Harley Road King Custom and i love my bike -- but i don't care what YOU ride. i have said in the past that i wouldn't trade it for a metric bike, but that is nothing more than personal preference. i wave at all bikes. hell, last week i waved at a guy on a scooter and thought he was gonna crash when he was craning his neck to see if some nimrod on a Harley had actually waved at him - LOL.
... and a poster above just reminded me that i should probably wash my bike to clean off the carcasses of the many brave bugs who gave up their lives on my windshield this weekend -- LOL
Well, I hate to admit that I do agree with some of these comments made by you'll. (But I have seen this type of things from all kind of riders!)
Can i drive a 50cc motorbike/scooter on a car license?
I, my self ride a metric (Kawasaki) but the reason for that it's because that was the bike that I liked! and since it's for me and not for anyone else I give a crap if you like it or not!
Where can i get kawasaki f7 motorcycle parts at? It is 35 years old.?
I'm a cool rider and in my area I can honestly say that most of the H-D's, Yamaha's, Honda's, Suzuki waive at you when passing by. In fact, there was a event in my local H-D this weekend and since that's where I got my helmet I was invited to stay and guess what... they treated me like one of the family!
Are motercyles allowed to ride in between lanes like that??
Most of these people causing problems are because deep inside they are envied of what others have! Maybe they could not afford one or I really don't know (but I don't care either). All I know is that I love my Kawa and I don't care what you ride so I expect the same from you!
What's a good starter bike for $1000?
Face it, every motorcycle company has a bad *** bike... like it or not!
Any one know a good b&b in whitby or nearby with secure parking?
Can you imagine if we all like the same maker?

1974 suzuki 125 engine question?
Your question is the epitome of the term 'self fulfilling prophecy'.Dollie between the bike and trailer?
Are you familiar with the term 'spell check'?
Is a yamaha ttr225 a good offroad bike?
If you don't care what folks ride, then why do you make sure to qualify yourself multiple times (harley riders)?
I guess for most people, there's motorcycle riders, then there's Harley riders. Some Harley riders are motorcycle riders - some are just 'Harley Riders'. Motorcycle riders all get along. "Harley Riders" stick with their own kind and complain about the rest.
Why do the front brakes on my CBR1000RR motorcycle keep locking up on me?
If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand.
My harley sportster 883 (99) won't start even with full battery, any ideas?
Despite your assertion there are indeed some H-D owners that hate metric bikes and their owners/riders. Been riding since 1969 and have seen it for lo these many years. Personally I don't have a beef with anyone no matter what they ride. I choose to ride metrics not because I hate Harleys but simply because I refuse to pay the price to play with an H-D. Yes, to be sure there are many metric riders that diss on guys that ride Harleys but I'm not one of them. I don't like to hear metrics ragging on H-D's anymore than I like to hear Harley riders dissing on metric riders. Part of this animosity towards metrics is fostered by the motor company itself. You can see it in some of their advertising. It's a two way street I'm thinking. Until "it doesn't matter what you ride...just that you ride." thinking becomes the norm this animosity between H-D's and Metrics will probably never go away.If you ask a question then why get silly reply like from pilockmong?
.Stupid question asked by someone whose IQ equals that of the change in his pocketwhat a lame and pitifull question.you have no class at all.Just like to stir the pot to make it stink,do you?.
