Often you find that synthetic oil makes the clutch slip so mineral is best unless otherwise stated.

I have just been to a Kawasaki main dealer to buy oil for my zx10r as i am giving it a oil and filter change.when i asked which i should use i was given 10/40 rock oil semi synthetic they said they use it across the range that's good enough for me.Is $4500 worth it for a 2004 Ski-Doo MX Zx 440 rev racing sled?

What is a fast yet cool looking super bike?
Any decent 10W/40 mineral or semi-synthetic oil, not fully synthetic as it'll probably make the clutch slip. Make sure it's either API SG or JASO MA rated oil, formulated specifically for motorcycle use. I use Motul oil, mainly because it's £25 for five litres at Hein Gericke, with air and oil filters included free!Any SG rated 10W40 should work fine. The brand is honestly more a personal preference than anything.
I have always had GREAT results with Castrol products in every bike I've ever owned. They seemed to be a little noisier (to my ear, anyway) with Valvoline products, but still had ZERO mechanical problems with either brand.
fuch, silkoline, its like putting a fine red wine in your bike!!
