Question:
What bike is king of the 250cc roadbikes?
Is it the RGV, NSR, or TZR? RS 250 aside!! Do you guys have any web pages about roadtests and were they are compared??
Answers:
I hear yes and no's for a gsxr 750 being an ok beginner bike. What are your thoughts?
The NSR. It had the longest production run('85-'99) and was therefor the most refined. In the later years only the '96 RGV250 could begin to keep pace. The TZR250(released in '87) was extremely successfull in club events its first couple years. The RGV('87-'9?) was a great race bike winning the British Super Teens Championship(then for 250 2-strokes or 400 4-strokes) in '91, '92, & '93 with a qouted power output of 59bhp. You make no mention of the Kawasaki KR1('88-'9?). Also a 250 2-stroke. In 1990 it was the bike to beat. And then there was the Honda MVX250 triple cylinder ('83-'84)...its RGV
