CD's are no substitute for real practice on the road. theseare an aid only and are quite good.
It is the same as the car which is that you have to get 30 out of 35 right to pass. I am not sure about the questions on the CD-RON but the questions given in the link below are not exactly as those on the actual tests because they are copyright. Since you ahve to purchase the Cd-ROM - they may be actual questions but maybe old questions from previous tests in the past.
The maximum score that can be obtained for the hazard perception part of the theory test is 75 (i.e. 15x5). To pass the hazard perception part of the car, moped and motorcycle theory test you must obtain a score of 44. To pass the theory test you must pass both parts (harzard perception and written test). If you fail either part you are required to take both parts of the test again.
ALSO FYI: It seems the theory test for Bike will be increasing on 3rd September 2007 from 35 questions to 50 and the pass mark will increase to 43 and the fees will also increase so the sooner you do it the better.

Road Legalising a KDX200/CR250 In New Zealand.?
I think the pass mark was 85% when i did it. They are exactly like the DVD roms you get. Thats what i used and it was a doddle.Yes the pass rate is 30 questions out of 35 for both of them. And the practice questions are ones that you may be asked in the actual test. You will be ok if you read the question slowly and if the answer does not come to you immediately flag it and return later. Good Luck!!
i didnt have to do it but i got 100/100 percent. piss easy to do. dont fret it swing it baby. dont even bother with the practise books or cd roms. do it cold you'll pass anyway. its not that its easy but if your serious about getting a bike you'll have your head screwed on anyway and see the hazards without being prompted beforehand.
Pass mark as everyone has mentioned above.
The only thing I noticed (I might have had a dodgy cd to learn from) but I found questions on more technical bike questions, which I didnt find help on in the cdrom but infact the highway code & experience.
... again I could have had a cheapy cd lol.
The questions are a doddle, common sense for the most part.
Keep your wits about you with hazard perception! All the better if you have a cdrom to practice hazards on, I thought I did well on it, only to find I got 49%! (5 away from failing lol).
It's not that the videos dont show "hazards" coming etc, but you're looking on a monitor, its not the real thing so you cant see as you would in real.
Where is the restricters on the thumpsters?
Good luck when you go through it :)
On a scooter, wat controls are on the left handbar?
I'm with the other, half ounce of common sense and you will pass. It is that easy. The hard bits the hazard perception as it just seems to make it's own rules and nobody can give you a clear explenation of how to answer it correctly.More Questions & Answers ...
