Question:
I have a 2001 Yamaha Blaster. I tried to start it and it was slow to start, but it started. After it ran approx 10 minutes @ idle, i gave it gas and it acted like it wanted to shut off due to a possible flood of the cylinder. What is the deal there? (could the throttle be in need of adjustment or replacement, or could the carb just need some work)?
Also when i ride, it would die and not start up again, if/ when it did start again,it would die again. I don't think it's a mechanical problem as the bike is a premix bike.I always used the correct gas. i think it's an elec. problem or a premix error.
The Wiring harness has been cut/modified to allow aftermarket headlights,make-shift neons (not my doing). Could the circuit be shorting due to the cut cords and not allowing the spark plug to spark, current to flow,or allowing the engine to run constantly? Should i replace the wiring harness or not?
What is the minimum age you can ride a motorcycle (have some sort of licence) in Ohio?
Anyone know the premix ratio for a Vitos 240cc big bore kit on my 2001 Yamaha Blaster
Answers:
Tell me about power commander?
i premix all my 2 strokes at 32:1 i never trusted the oil injector on the blasters i owned. it most likely is a carb problem, the bigger cc's from the vitos kit requires rejetting your carb, not just the main jet either, the pilot jet should be replaced and needle clip position lowered. most important thing is get a manual if you dont know how to do these things...good luck and keep the rubber side downCan someone tell me why my moped wont start?
Whoa, anytime u mess with the electrics there will be a change in the entire dynamics of the electrical system what with mapping of the ignition getting signals from the throttle position, speed, altitude!, and a host of other factors changing the inductance of circuits all leading to dif. responses. check out http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/produc... for a start.More Questions & Answers ...
