No big difference in performance.Premium over low grade gas will allow the engine to have a little more sustained power when the engine gets hot.Low octane fuel can cause a hole in the piston on a hot day.

Does the manual call for it (93 octane)? If not your wasting money and blowing it out the exhaust. Engineers design a motor to run on a specific octane. Unless you have modified the motor stick to what the manufacturer says. More importantly if it's a two stroke engine you need to be more concerned about using a high quality TCW3 2 cycle engine oil. Yamaha used to make an additive called ring free (I don't know if they still do). It's a great additive to use on their 2 cycle engines. Good luck to you!
