Question:
I have read about these new motorcycles from the Korean maker Hyosung. If you own one or have information other than that easily sourced from a google search, then I would appreciate it. Has anyone experienced huge depreciation? Is the price difference (£600) offsetting the depreciation? Have you experienced problems with servicing or sourcing parts? I do know that the dealer network is a bit thin on the ground, so has anyone thought of opening a dealership? Is there much of a profit in selling new ones? The list of questions goes on LOL.

Suzuki has a heritage building good bikes. They are at least 40years ahead according to Hyosung. If you are looking for a gamble buy Hyosung, Suzuki won't let you down.What Motorbike does Ethan ride in MI2?

Hyosung make cheap copies of good bikes , they look the same and have all of the same spec.s as their better known counterparts..Where the difference lies unfortunately is in the quality of the materials used. If you take 2 bikes off the drawing board and decide to build one from the cheapest steel, cheapest paint finish,cheapest chroming, cheapest bearings,seals,cables,electric... etc.etc youll probably end up with a bike which may look very similar to its more expensive protege,but IT WILL NOT last as long look as well in 6 months,it will need new parts fitted sooner,will be prone to break sooner, chain & sprockets will be cheap and shoddy.You really need to remove 'build quality' from your list of good points. The ONLY good points about these bikes are looks and price.

Hyosung, along with all the other Chinese, Korean or Malaysian made 'bikes have truly appalling build quality.

Most owners find peeling paint, flaking chrome and rust appearing after a few months - even in the summer. Dodgy electrics and low quality metal alloys (used in the engine components) don't help either

Hyosung have been selling bikes in the U.K for around 10 years. The lack of dealerships speaks for itself; no-one wants to sell a bike with such a poor reputation.
