Question:
I want to learn to ride.. always have but have hesitations.. nervous.. Now that I was signed up for the course MSF, I've been warned again how dangerous it might be to be a beginner here in L.A. (long beach to be exact).. Any suggestions? Even experienced riders are telling me to think again.. advice is to go get a dirt bike and get experience there first before attempting to hit the streets here.. What do you think?

What size motorcycle is best for a beginner?? 600 or 1,000?
maybe these 'experienced' riders put too much faith in loud pipes, and still cant figure out why the ride turns into a white knuckler.is good u are taking the msf course. that will give u an edge on being able to control ur scoot safer in a dicey situation. doing the wrong thing can make a bad situation worse, so u did the right thing taking the course.
here's a few rules for the rookies. sport bikes are much harder to see with their slimmer profiles. even full dressers can be hidden from view by a pencil held at arm's length.
item: expect the unexpected. cars will do off-the-wall chit that can get u dead. never put the bike where u cant see the incoming traffic. if u cant see them, they cant see u either. always have a nice cushion up front also.
item: our most lethal threat is the left turner. expect all cages about to turn left NOT to see u, and try to turn in front of u. always be prepared for a maximum effort stop.
item: watch the wheels of a car at an intersection. if they move, i cover the clutch/brakes in preparation of a panic stop.
item: always keep the bike in gear at stops...put the bike at a little bit of an angle with a cushion in front of u and the car ahead..just in case the 1 comin up from behind doesnt look like he isnt gonna stop so u can get out of the way pronto.
How would you describe a "real" biker.?
u might want to reconsider heading out on the major freeways or interstates at this time until u have build up ur situational awarness. when passing a car, dont waste time. they could be on the cell phone, changin cd's, or something else...and if they drift over, they will flatten u. if u can, take the back roads..they're more fun anyway.
What is the solution to the vibration of the front faring of the New Hero Honda C B Z Extreme?
There's nothing to be nervous about.Jump on and go,,,After you finish your MSF, get licensed, get your bike and proper riding attire, Is there anyway you can tow your bike up to the mountains for the first few weekends of riding? The roads around Big Bear Lake are ideal for some slow speed scenic and fun cruising. Take it easy, especially for the first few months. Avoid traffic congestion if at all possible. Use your head and you should be Ok. Ride safe.
