It is very fast, faster than you will ever need to go on a track. They don't publish top speeds because that is a product of gearing. I know with the gearing the desert racers run it will hit about 110. You wouldn't gear it that high for motocross though. The 450 MX bikes are just crazy fast. A new model is about $7000 (retail) and a used 2005 runs around $4000. I would say Pedro's answer of 73 mph sounds about right for stock gearing.Royal Thunderbird fuel reserve capacity?

When researching for bike info I like to go to BikeZ.com they have alot of specs listed including top speed etc... However the YFZ is not listed. there are YZF's but no 450, there are also YZ450F'sthe top speed for a Yamaha YFZ 450 is 73 miles per hour.
