Should I be concerned about "rattling" for my brand new 2007 Harley Sportster 1200L or is that normal?

First try hitting the float bowl with the handle of a large screw driver with the gas turned on. Don't hit the carb any harder than you can hit your upper arm with it not hurting. If that doesn't stop them from flooding you will have to replace the needle and seat in those 2 carbs. DON'T, as suggested above, bend any tabs or parts on the floats. There are 2 float adjustments, one is the float level and the other is float drop. These 2 adjustments need to be set to factory specs, and if you fool around with them the bike will not run right, especially with multiple carbs. Remove the 2 carbs and with them turned upside down, remove the 4 screws that hold the float bowls on. You might have to tap on the bowls with a screwdriver handle to get them to break loose. There is a metal pin about an inch and a half long that holds the float in the carb, this is the float pivot point. Push the pin out with a small drill bit until you can grab it with needle nose pliers to pull it out the rest of the way. Lift the float up and out of the carb. There may be a small piece of what looks like a wire loop holding the needle to the float, this should slide right off and the needle should now be in your hand. (I would suggest that you do one carb at a time so you can use the other as a reference in case you have any trouble putting it back together.) The seat will unscrew with a small socket or in some cases a flat screwdriver. Put the float, needle, seat and all the gaskets in a plastic bag.be gentle with the float, don't knock it around or bend it in any way. Put the carb in a separate box, you can leave the screws and bowl cover at home, and go to your local dealer for parts. You will need a new needle, seat and seat gasket. Also, its a good idea to replace the bowl gasket. There is one other thing that could be causing your carbs to flood. Sometimes the floats themselves will become saturated with gas and not float anymore. The best way to test for this is to compare your float with a known good one, weigh it on a gram scale or use what they call the tip test. Your dealer can tell you if you need new floats. Your dealer can also tell you what the measurments are to adjust the floats if needed. These carbs and there adjustments can be complicated and critical, do yourself a favor and buy a good shop manual, you should have one anyway. Put the carb back together the way you took it apart, reference the other one if you have a problem. After you get them both together and on the bike they shouldn't flood anymore. Good luck.
These people who are telling you to start indiscriminately bending **** on your floats are giving you bad information. Also, I have had hundreds of these types of carbs apart and turning them upside down after you have one on your work bench is not a problem.I would be interested as to why someone would think that it is. As I said before, get a good service manual, follow their directions to the letter or take the bike to a GOOD repair shop. It also sounds like your carbs are out of sync. You will need four vacuum gages to do this adjustment the right way.get that book.

Yamaha parts madness?

your floats are sticking on those carbs alowing gas to pour into the carb-take the bowl off and make sure the float is not stuck and moves freely-if it does bend it down slightly to make the bowl hold less fuel

Is there a place where i can sell my Motorcycle in Maryland?

try taking your bowls off the carbs and see if your floats are sticking! if their not sticking take your float lose from the carb and bend the little medal peace on the floats that tells your needle seat (the small screw in part above the floats) when the bowl is full it could be bent to far down and not pushing the needle seat far enuf up to shut off the gas! i had a 1995 cbr 600 that done the same exact thing gas pored out the bottom of my carb through the overflow and i bent that piece up on the floats and it done a miracle...it quit leaking gas!
