Will zxr front brake calipers fit my zzr600?
Obviously two of the three previous answers have no clue about what the 650 V-Strom is, or what it is capable of... I'll let you guess which ones I'm talking about.I think the Strom is a great bike when used either as a naked street bike, or as a dual sport. It's a bit heavy for a pure off-road bike, and the 650 has a little bit less power that its big brother, but it is still more than adequate for a mid-weight road bike. It compares quite favorably with the BMW F-650 GS for an all-around adventure bike.
I think that if properly equipped, the 650 V-Strom should do a great job on your ride through Central America.

Depends . . . Is motorcycling your sport, or your obsession? How do you know what seat height to get with an off road motorcycle?
If it's your sport, the Suzuki is a competent motorcycle that will endure the type of riding you're anticipating without a hiccup. It's oversquare liquid cooled twin will deliver a competent range of power and provide reasonable economy with all the reliability Japanese machines are legendary for.
Looking for a great motorcycle riding class in UT?
If it's your passion, not many passionate motorcyclists will share your enthusiasm for the bland as milquetoast V-Storm. In two years, this model will be forgotten by most who have heard the name, and you'll be drooling over something else. Just as well, since in 20 years nobody will be looking to buy the bike with a complete restoration in mind. It will gather dust in a wrecking yard somewhere, loosing some cosmetic pieces, a few electrical lumps and perhaps a wheel or fender before it's unceremoniously loaded into a hopper to be melted down to serve the needs of another undiscerning buyer of uninspiring Japanese-styled motorcycles.
