Question:
I'm sick of just riding on the back of guys' bikes. And I'm sick of people making me feel like I can't have my own bike because I'm a girl and have never operated one. Please tell me how to get a bike, how to learn how to ride it, where and what to look for when buying my first bike and what I need to be aware of. I'm ready to buy my own one piece, zip up leather kick *** outfit and not have to flirt with chumps just to get a ride.
THANKS!

What is the first year that Kawasaki came out with the Ninja ZX14?
I have my own bike. It is a Harley and it is the bike I learned to ride on. A Hertiage Softail Classic. Not a small bike but it handles great and the weight is low and so is the seat. I am 5 ft. 4 in. and weigh 115 pounds and I have no problem with this bike. We did not have any classes around here at the time so my husband took me to a high school parking lot, then we went to a business park on the week-end, then to our neighborhood and then I was on the road. I love it and I can ride whenever I want to. Good Luck...What is the current world record for the longest motorbike jump?

Truimph tiger cub bike. Does anyone know what the little pixie like figure is?
This is too much to answer here: your local library will have excellent books on these issues (i won't recommend any because they very from country to country). Start riding in a large carpark (industrial areas on the weekend are good). Once you can do simple starts, stops and maneuvers, go straight out and get lessons from a professional or someone you know is a safe, capable rider (NOT a loud-mouth or someone you don't trust from actual experience!).How can you lower the hight of a fazer 600?
Motorcycling is a good community so once you get started there will be lots of help. Also, join a motorcycle club for women: but make sure they are real bikers not merely lonely lesbians (no offence intended).

Well I will tell you what I did. My husband kept saying oh you'll just get hurt and you wont know what to do if an emergency happends, so I grabbed my helmet, when to a "Rip-off" lot and asked to test drive a bike. Showed my ID, got on and drove off, 5 minutes later came back handed him money and have rode ever since! Its NOT AS HARD AS THE GUYS MAKE IT OUT TO BE!!! So go get on one, know your limit! KNow what you can do and cant! you will get better as you make mistakes, because next time you will know what to do! But please I REPEAT!!! KNOW YOUR LIMITS... dont get on and try to show off, get on and RESPECT your bike, dont fear it, just respect it!! It is bigger and more powerful than you are!LOLWhats a better bike to go with a GSXR 600 or a YXF-R6 or a kawaski Ninija ZX 6R?
OK, for the best answer to get here: do a search for each item in your question. Try "first bike" or something similar in the box. There have been so many suggestions....How to ride it: if you take a course, you will get more than the basics. You will also get some kind of idea what size/style to get.

Start on a small bike ride in a Field or a parking lot until you get a feel for and some control of the bike. Then take a safety course
For a first bike get something cheap you won't care too much about because you will drop it, probably more than once.
And be aware you will have to practice and put in some miles before you are going to be a competent rider. be patient it takes time.
Take a MSF course
What is the stock horsepower for a harley 1340 evo and a twincam 88?
Good luck. We need more female drivers not passengers.
I think it's best to start out with a bike like a Honda Rebel 250 or 450.
This is an easy bike to handle, lightweight, and fun
I am a die hard Harley rider, so I only say this because I think people should get some experience on a bike AND in traffic, therefore I suggest a little machine to start with until you gain the confidence of tooling around on something 3 or 4 or 5 times your weight
#1, take the MSF course
#2, get gear (helmit, gloves, jacket) that fits you properly.
#3 get a bike that you are comfortable on
#4 practice practice practice

ATV Motor Oil API service label question: can I use SM in place of SG, SH, or SJ?
Forget about proving people wrong. Don't think about where to learn or getting a bike yet. Talk to people who ride, not clowns but veteran serious riders and ask them to give you a strong dose of reality. Riding is statistically more dangerous than being a stunt man. Have a lot of conversations, give it a lot of thought because if you do lock and load you had better be super serious, you're life depends on it.You go girl! We need more of us on the road! Get into a course first to learn the basics, many of them supply small bikes to practise on. As far as buying one, it depends on your size. I'm 5'5" andI started out on a 750 Virago because I was interested in cruiser bikes. The Virago is low and easy to ride, and doesn't look to bad either. I did a couple of long distance trips of 2000 mi or so. After a couple of years I bought a brand new 1996 HD Electraglide. I had no trouble making the change. I had to lower it a couple of inches and modify the seat, but I've been riding it for 12 years now with no problems. We've done Rt 66, Texas, Mexico, Colorado, Sturgis, and most of Canada. You will love it!! If you go Harley try to get the old Evolution engine ( 1998 and older). You can work on the Evo but you have to take the new twin cam 88 in for service because they're computerized and it gets expensive after awhile.
