I have a 1994 Harley FXDL. I installed a fully charged battery, and bike won't start. Need cables? Fuses?

I am pretty certain that trikes do not need seat belts because the are classed as a "Motorcycle and sidecar" or "Motorcycle sidecar combination" and as such and not required by law to have a seat belt. But you do need a crash helmet. I think most plods wont bother you because of the hassle they would have to go to to get a prosecution. Sense dictates that a helmet would be advisable. The area is pretty grey so a good idea would be to collar a Traffic Plod and see if he could interpreted the exact letter of the law. Also check your insurance policy as the company could have there own rules. Good riding.

Most of the people answering so far have just about got it right, there are variables to do with wether you sit astride (bike like) or sit like a car. It's irrelevant wether it's a car engine or bike engine and more to do with the weight and layout of the vehicle. Going abroad on one depends on which countries you want to travel through.
