I have got an YAMAHA rd 125 lc its bord out to a 185 ive been told. Is there a way to get it back to a 125 ?

I have the 600cc Shadow, which is fantastic to scoot in and out of traffic in a major city. But not so great for long roadtrips. I've taken it on many roadtrips in the 100-400 mile range. It gets me to my destination alright. But my butt is sore, my legs are stiff, and my throttle hand is cramped into a figure C for a day or two.

Does anyone have a website were I can buy Neons for my four-wheeler?

I suggest gearing up your bike with a fairing, highway pegs, and cruise control/throttle rocker for the roadtrip.

I have owned a 2002 750 Shadow A.C.E. for about 5 years, and it is a great bike, with a low seat height and low center of gravity. It's an OK highway bike (especially on two-lane roads, not quite as happy on the freeway, but fully capable on the freeway as to speed capability, etc., just a bit light for my taste in that scenario). I'm 6'2" and over 230 lbs, and it does well from desert lowlands up into mountains at about 7,500-8,000 feet. The follow-on bike to the ACE is the 750 Aero, which has shaft drive and a single carburetor, a bit less power (a lot less than my particular ACE, which I modified a bit and increased rear wheel HP from 29 to 46, and still get 50-55 MPG). I would recommend a 750 or 1100 for highway travel. That being said, I must say that you will absolutely need a good aftermarket seat - the stock saddles on the Shadows are absolutely atrocious, with no support. After 100 to 150 miles, your back, neck, shoulders and derriere will be screaming with pain if you try to stick with a stock seat. IMHO, Mustang is the best seat for the Shadows (at least for the ACE). Corbin also makes seats for them, but I have found them to be way too hard and uncomfortable, offering less support than a Mustang. That seems to be the general concensus of the majority of members of the 750 ACE forum on Delphi, as well. If you can, order the Mustang with a backrest (it must be ordered as such from the factory, a backrest cannot be retrofitted to the Mustang seats for these bikes). I put a backrest on my '06 H-D ElectraGlide, and was absolutely amazed at the tremendous increase in comfort, the same should hold true on the Honda. I will admit, I use the Harley for most of my riding now, especially on long trips, but the Shadow still does well. I recently ran a 200 mile or so trip on the Honda, and it was a good trip, with no fatigue or pain from the seat - I love that Mustang!
