How much horsepower does a new Suzuki Bandit 1250 have?

Question:
How does the acceleration compare to a GSXR600, GSXR750, and GSXR1000? I want to get a naked bike, but want one that will run with a GSXR750.

Riders: how many have you crashed?

98 HP is the spec as published in May Motorcyclist mag. Just read it this morning. weight given is 496 lb. a GSXR 600 will probably "run away and hide from it" (since it has probably 10 more HP and weighes 100 pounds less). The mag said they saw 150 on the speedo. I think your expectations to "run with the GSXR's" is unrealistic. They are basically full-on racebikes. If you try to keep up with a competently ridden GSXR750 you are going to end up in a pile of twisted metal. You asked about horse powers - the 600 will do 110-120, the 750's about 130-140 and the newest 1000 i think is listed at 180+.

Does anyone know where i can buy a 50cc bike?

TWO Magazine puts a good one at 100hp.
