I'm 16 and I want a motorcycle. I noticed like 6 year olds drive those motocross bikes you know those that go off road. Well I want to have one of those maybe 250 or 300 pund motorcycles can go at least 150mph. I mean if you can be 6 to drive those other bikes shouldn't I be able to drive the Motorcycles I want. I still only have a limited provisional license for driving cars or permit as most people call it.

u dont have what it takes right now to handle a street bike in traffic. i know teens have this sometimes deadly affliction.thinking of invunerability. age wise, u'd be able to get ur endorsement, but it takes alot more than being at the 'magic age' to survive the cage infested streets on a bike.Can valentino rossi regain the motogp title?
there's a technique to lift a bike, and even a small girl can lift a bike the size of a ultra classic. bike size really doesnt matter if u know the technique.

about the 150 mph bikes.ummm, u wont last even half way thru ur first season. reaching 150 mph is optional.getting stopped safely is manditory. at that speed, if a car pulls out and u hit it broadside, they will have a very hard time trying to identify u. leave the speed for the track if u want to live. u also need to take and pass the msf course before n.c. will give u an endorsement..its manditory up here in ohio.

You are not too young for a light road bike like you want but you might want to rethink the 150MPH thing. Unless you have been riding since you were six I can't imagine any good coming from going that fast outside of a race track.you wont have your license too long or your life if you plan on going 150

Go into you r local DMV office or police station and I'm sure NC has a motorcycle operators handbook you can pick up for free, which should tell you the process. In most any state I've heard of, you take a written test and get a learners permit, sort of like you do to drive a car. Then for the license itself, you can usually take an actual driving test (either on the road test or one they give in a parking lot with cones), OR you might be able to get the license by taking an approved riding class.most people who ride really good is because they have experience because they started at 5 or 6 you shouldn't just go out there and think you can do it all start small work your way up also you have to watch out not just for yourself but every one else ride safe be smart
Sticky throttle problem on Bandit 600?
When I started riding they didn't have motorcycle safety ,courses(MSF) which it sounds like you need to take first of all. Second most really good street riders started in the dirt. Get a light weight dirt bike and go play in the dirt and learn from some one who really can handle a dirt bike then see about going to the street after the MSF.I started with a small street bike. I did a nice power slide under a flatbed truck. I then went and rode in the dirt for a year, raced motocross for 4 months then went to the street. I am glad I did that.
Also start with a small light weight bike ride it for a year then move up. I started on a 125 then a 350 then a 650 then an 1100 I am now on a 1500 and will be looking at a 1600 or 2000 in the future.
