I am doing a survey on Motorcycles in India and would like to ask you if you would be willing to consider Yamaha's motorcycles if they boast similar performance and are priced at similar price range? Or, the preference would still be Bajaj or Hero Honda even for like-for-like comparison?

people are too much obsessed with Bajaj's Pulsar in the high cc segment and Hero honda's Splendor in the low end, that it will take a lot of marketing effort to get people to buy Yamaha products.why was the motorcycle invented and what negative effects has it had on the society?
Personally I feel Yamaha's technology is way advanced, but they do not put in the money in Indian markets. Yamaha's bikes in India do not stand up to its releases world wide.

I would prefer a Yamaha over a Bajaj or Hero Honda any day.I have a RX100 of '86 vintage and its still going strong.Had one of the original RD 350s. Sold it a decade ago and still regret it.

I would strongly suggest that Yamaha does not concentrate on aping the performance of its competitors.It enters the Great Indian Rat Race which is competing in the bike for the masses.
Go for a few more "cc"s and increase their products performance.The customers will queue up for it.

Its better to get the performance from a bigger capacity engine than squeezing it out from a smaller engine.The customer prefer just that.
Torque is what counts not the rated bhp.
Bigger capacity means other benefits like better electrics especially the headlights.Higher wattage and bigger bulbs in bigger headlights are possible.
Who minds the drop in mileage from 60 or 70 Kpl to a realistic 40 or even 35kpl provided you get the oomph in the engine.
On a actually bigger frame than the plastically customised contraptions you see on the road nowadays.
Yes it will mean a bigger price tag. But there are people like me who would not mind the difference for the product or the fuel if we are getting something more in engine capacity size and lugging power.

I do accept that Yamaha bikes are of good performance. to be honest looks matter a lot .indian yamaha bikes get negative in looks
if they make a more solid good-looking bike no matter if it costs more
but it should look awesome
