If you live in a warm climate then the cheapest non-synthetic SAE 30 oil. if you live where it gets cooler then the cheapest non-synthetic 10w-30 oil you can find.what could be wrong with a dirt bike that has spark, and compression but wont start up?
You most likely need a 4T 10W-40. That is not the same as regular 10w-40 motor oil. Should be able to get at farm stores or ATV dealer. Some good auto parts stores will also carry.You need to buy oil specifically for ATV's. I use Yamalube.

The reason for this is that the engine oil also functions as transmission lubricant in ATV's whether they are auto or manual. Yes it is more expensive than your garden variety auto oil but DO NOT SKIMP. You will cause damage if you use auto grade oil.
