I've heard so many different things about them, ranging from "this thing handles like an extension of your body" to "this thing's tough to turn" to "it stands up in cornering" to "underpowered" to "massive torque". I like the styling of the bike (haevn't ridden it yet), but I'm hearing so many different things about it, I'm confused! What is the bike (XB9R and/or XB12R) really like, and how does it compare to good Japanese ~600cc sportbikes like the R6s, CBRs, SV650s, GSXRs, and Ninjas? Thanks in advance!

Underpowered - Depends on what you wanna do? It sure isn't underpowered for canyon-carving, tearing up twisties, or anything like that. But if your desire is to show all your buddies how fast you can go in a straight line, then yes, it is underpowered.

from what my boss at work reports about the firebolt he just got: bring ur 'A' game, or this thing will hurt u.the thing with speed is, gettin up to 150 mph is optional..getting stopped is manditory. if u cant handle the speed of any bike, its gonna hurt u. what type of bike matters little...except for maybe how soon its gonna hurt u. if u are able to test ride 1, by all means do so. opinions can vary greatly. what i would consider more than adequate, u would find lacking.
