When will India ever get a (powerful) twin cylinder bike?

Question:
Earlier in the 80's we had the Yamaha RD 350 n Yezdi 350 both twin cylinder bikes. Today in 2007 we have none.. Dont' u think we are going backwards in Automobile technology? Why doesn't companies like Enfield, Bajaj, Honda bring out good twin cylinder 500cc, 600 cc or 750cc bikes in India.
