the 'motorcycle' was an advancement of the already familiar bicycle... adding the (hopefully obvious) advantages of mechanization... the only 'negative' that comes to mind is, possibly, the 'negative' impacts of mechanization... although the thought of well over 3 billion people riding horses is not very pretty either.It was invented for FUN and if all of society rode motorcycles the world would be filled with happy relaxed people except for the stupid ones who got killed.
