Honda CG 125 motor bike oil leaks?

Question:
Have an oil leak from bottom of engine casing cover. This has affected electrics around gear lever, thus gear changing due to large build up of oil which eventually leaks out.

Which Off-Road bike should I purchase?


Gasket and pipe has been replaced by mechanic but oil still leaking into casing cover area. How can I stop oiol from doing this? Eventually it will build up start leaking out and affect electrics again

It is worn out, it could possibly be the gearchange shaft oil seal or the crankshaft oil seals but most likely the oil is being blown or forced out by crankcase pressure caused by a worn cylinder bore and worn piston rings, If used at high revs Hondas are notorious for this fault although they will often soldier on for thousands of miles and many years if you can put up with the mess.

Take it back to the "mechanic" and ask them to do the job properly, if you paid to have this leak solved and it persists, thier work is sub standard, and they should make it right at thier expense.

I do not fully understand the question, as to the best of my knowledge, there are no electrical parts associated with the gear change on a Honda GC 125 (Brazil or Japan).

I have to assume your dynamo housing is filling with oil.... I have two suggestions.
Firstly there may be an oil leak at the bearing in the centre of this housing, where the drive shaft comes through from the engine proper, to turn the fly wheel, so you need to change the bearing seal, not the gasgett or oil pipe, but you may need to replace them after a big job like this anyway.
Secondly... Drill a small hole in the bottom of the dynamo housing and let the oil drain off, then refill the oil regularly untill you sell or dispose of the machine. (this is probably illegal due to it fouling the road and the environment with oil).
