Personally I would never buy an open face helmet. My face would have been pulp if I was wearing one when I had my big crash (Head first over a car bonnet, big dent in helmet above the eye and another on the chin guard) Wear a full face helmet and dont buy it on line either, Go to a shop and make sure it fits properly. Not all helmets are the same shape. For example my medium AGV X vent fits me perfectly but when I tried on a medium Shark Foggy replica I could turn my head and put it in the ear cut out. Dont compromise on your helmet, Its the most important piece of kit you will buy.
