Question:
I just installed a dynojet kit on my 99 Harley FXD Superglide 1450cc carburator and I can't get it to run pass an idle. it starts up perfect and idles perfect, but when I give it gas, it bogs down and almost cuts out. accelerator pump is operating as I see it spraying fuel in the throat... any ideas? I replaced all the needles and jets as instructed...
Answers:
Make sure when you changed the main jet, the emulsion tube didn't back out. (This is the midrange tube with all the little holes in it.) It is the needle jet.
Check that the diaphram isn't damaged (Hole, kinked, cover on wrong, etc.)
Is the needle correctly seated in the slide?
Watch the slide when you blip the throttle, does it rise? If not, is it free to move? (Check diaphram above)
Good luck, You can always go back to the original calibration and just change parts one at a time until you find the trouble. (Lot of work)
Whats The Best Way To Get Out Of A GSX-R600 I Financed?
Your fuel hose could be collapsing under throttle, choking off the fuel. or it could be bent/kinked. Make sure the air mixture isn't too rich alsoFirst disconnect the PCIII and see if it still does it. When the PCIII is disconnected your settings will go back to normal. This will atleast narrow down if the PCIII has anything to do with the problem.
