Question:
I am planning on purchasing a new Honda VTX 1300C and want to work an aftermarket exhaust into the sale. The exhaust requires that I put in a jet kit. My dealer recommended "breaking in" the engine first. However, I would rather not if it is not necessary.

Are gas tanks interchangeable on suzuki motorcycle?
u can get the stage1 right off the bat. ya dont really need the 1000 mile break-in first, but yanno what.u would get an idea of how the bike runs as is from the factory vs how it'll run with the stage1. u might...and keyword here is might...decide that the bike runs good as-is, and adding the stage1 isnt really worth it. it will be true that the stage1 will get u some added horsepower, but it wont be very much...maybe 15% over stock config, and u'd most likely appreciate the stage1 even more. if this bike is fuel injected, then they have to do a remap; no rejet since there is no carbs.Motorcycle Tip Request - How to Keep A New Bike In Top Condition?

listen to the dealer, break in the engine first.Installing a jet kit on a new engine is perfectly fine. Just break in the bike as the owners manual recommends.
Which sport bike is better between the when it comes to 599-600 cc?
You break your engine in the way you are going to ride it. That whole break-in nonsense is a way to brainwash you into coming back to the dealership every 1000 miles for service. Also if you fall for that, you might believe there is a difference in regular automotive oil and motorcycle oil. It has to be better, right, your paying 5 bucks a qt for it?More Questions & Answers ...
