Most people just put the decals on the forks. You can cut a piece of lexan or plexiglass and put your stickers on that and attach it to your bike with a clamp.

The base regulations say that the decal must be affixed to the vehicle. You can't have it seperate and show it at the gate. Otherwise you could lose it and someone could use it to get on base.

What boggles me is that the decal system is still used in the states. Everywhere overseas they are strictly ID only which is much safer. If someone steals your car, they can get on base. I'm in Korea now and they use a "BIDS" system. The SP's have a handheld scanner that reads the bar code off your ID and your picture shows up on the scanner with your info. It's pretty cool and eliminates the possibility of fake ID holders gaining access to a base.

The best place to put the decal is on the front fork. When it's time to remove it, peel off as much as you can and use a rag with baby oil or a pencil eraser to remove the residue.

In the states, it's best to put it on the forks. I've ridden many bikes in the years and only had problems with base security when the decal wasn't on the forks. I don't suggest using anything removable. If you are that anal about your ride, I guess you could use two strips of Velcro or double sided tape. it will still leave a residue but less of one.
