Question:
im plannin on going mudding tomorrow and was wondering if low tire pressure is better or is it better to have it like a cars tires?

Have you done any stupid things with a motorcycle?
run the tire just as low wear it do's not cup in the center i run about 2 1/2 psi in the rear and 3 to 4 psi in the front to help turning a little but if you are going to ride on hard pack or be going fast pump the back tire to 4 psi to kept it from getting to hot. good luckWhat would be a good first bike to practice on if my goal is to ride a sportbike?
tire pressure is determined my the size of the tire and the weight being put on that tire, passenger cars are normally set at about 32, i don't know about atv's but cars have a little information pannel on the inside of the door and tells u information about the car including what pressure the manufacture recomends, i would look for this little sticker on the atv, otherwise go off of what the tire looks like, less pressure means that the tire flexes more and gives u more grip but also causes premature wear on the shoulders of the tire, more pressure means that the tire holds its shape better and thus gives u less traction because the tire is not molding to anything but that can cause center tread wear. so like i said look for the sticker, if u can't find one go 32 and if it looks too low put some more in it.Longer look without rake on H-D sportster?
--Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.--3 wheelers and quads will give different handling characteristics with different tire pressures.
--Quads with 2/4 wheel drive and/or 4 wheel independent suspension will also make a difference.
--The short answer - keep the tire pressure at the ATV's suggested psi.
--The tires are also used as part of the suspension.
--To much psi - the vehicle will feel like there is no suspension and will bounce up and down like a "hop-pity-hop".
--To little psi - the tires will flex side to side. The vehicle will feel like it has flat tires and won't turn as it's supposed to.
--Also altering the psi will reduce/increase how much of the tire tread will touch the ground.
--More psi - less tread on the ground - less traction causing the tires to spin.
--Less psi - to much tread on the ground - the ATV will bog down due to, to much tread trying to grab.
--Manufactures suggest between 3-6 psi
1/2 psi can make a big difference, so find out what is suggested for you ATV.
Why do some bikers claim the noise is for safety but they don't take other safety precautions?

If this is to hard once you get out there, just drop a few pounds, no less than 3lbs psi.
Do i need a full license to ride a 50cc scooter.?
about 2-2 1/2 in the rear, and 3 in the front. DO NOT PUT 32 IN AN ATV TIRE! Bad idea. It could explode.More Questions & Answers ...
