I want to meet some riding buddies to go for fun in sydney..i got a moterbike?
Hi Ashley,The first two answers are correct, the bike is indeed an old Norton single cylinder. They can be found, but, are expensive and alot of work to keep running. If you appreciate the look of that bike and would like to own something like it consider the modern Royal Enfield bikes. They are still in production since 1955 (with modern upgrades like electric start), do a search for Royal Enfield motorcycles, perhaps there may even be a dealer somewhat near you.
Anyone been across the alps on a honda transalp?
The bike is a snort'n Norton 500. My best friend has a Norton 850 Commando and he'd cut off is right arm before he'd sell it. I guess its just something about those Nortons. Can I rectify a squared off motocycle tyre?
The movie takes place in the early 50's so I'm not sure your going to fine one that old. You can look on www.cycletrader.com
Will there ever be an Automatic transmission motorcycle over 1500cc ?

The oldest one for sale on the site is a 1970.
Where to race quads in So. Cal?
They're antiques (obviously) and notoriously unreliable. Electrical faults led to the phrase "Lucas- the Prince of Darkness" (the lighting system always seemed to fail on a dark and stormy night ... probably not well sealed against moisture). You can try ebay, or antiue vehicle auctions, or (yah) cycle trader, or Hemmings Motor News ... they all get Nortons from time to time.
Right now, there are no 500s, but there are plenty of 750 Commandos:
