What are the requirements to get an out of state motorcycle registered in california?
If I were you, I would turn this purchase into an opportunity to have a good bonding experience with your son. Sit him down and explain to him that you think he is old enough to to enjoy the responsibility of owning a dirt bike or ATV. Figure out what your budget can afford and allow him some limited input into what the two of you decide to buy. If your not dead set against a dirt bike, and that's what he wants, go that direction. Get some newspapers or take him and go talk privately to some of the mechanics at your local dealerships. Most mechanics will have a line on a good used machine and you will save $$$ buying from a private party. If this fails then talk to a salesman and see what kind of deal he can give you. Get a list together of 4-5 machines, that fall into your price range, and let him pick out the one he wants. Most dealers and/or private parties will allow your son to take a limited test ride if they know your a serious potential customer. Don't forget to also budget for necessary safety equipment with a good helmet at the top of the list. You have a golden opportunity to spend some real quality fun time with your boy. You will provide him with an experience that he will love you for and remember for the rest of his life.Someone stated on an earlier question that a motorcycle requires 10x the maintenance of a car?

Get a three-wheeler. They are much more fun. If you have trouble finding one, no problem. Check craigslist.com. They're getting pretty hard to find lately.Go to the Honda dealership and ask them. I think it is the 110. I bought my sons 4 wheelers for Christmas, my 7 year old drives the Honda 90, that will be a bit too small for your kid. You want whatever is between the 90 and 250.

Trying to look up a motorcycle called knight train or night train made by harley davidson?
But if you are going to keep it for a long time, go Honda, they never break, and they really dont lose their value at all. If its just a toy, go to Pep Boys.
How long would it take me to get a motorcycle license if...?
I have 3 wheelers, I replaced them with 4 wheelers for safety reasons. Unless the suspension is really good, and your kids is really good at controlling it dont buy one. Its not worth the savings if they get hurt. They have to have really really good suspension, or they get bouncing and its uncontrollable.
My bike wont start, its completely dead?
Get something small and light with a small engine so he doesn't kill himself when he opens up the throttle or takes a turn too fast. Don't get a three wheeler -- get a four wheeler. Three wheelers are more prone to tip over.Which is the best Motorcycle company in the world?

that is a 4 way shootout of smaller machines. this one, youre on youre own ,but i will say this. in my opinion ,the mojave is a much more comfortable machine ,with great torque ,but if its sand your after, the blaster is the way to go. while kinda weak stock ,it would still do the large hill climbs at winchester bay.sure my wife was down to first gear and pinned ,but it did it.with the add ons we have on it ( full exhaust ,k&N filter ,different reeds ) it will pull the large hills with a little run in 3rd gear. much more room to "grow" on the little blaster. ours lasted 3 years of very hard every other weekend ridding before the piston melted. but even then it only cost me a little over $300 to fix. good luck
