Race fairings?

I recently bought a 2006 gsxr 1000, and it and it had been laid over and doesnt have any side fairings. Obviously new oem fairings are very expensive. I found race fairings that are significantly cheaper. The only thing i was wondering about was the front cowl race fairing. Does it go over the headlight or do you have to remove the headlight to make the race fairing fit?

If you use a race upper you would either have to remove the headlight or attempt to cut a hole. Some race glass manufactorers sell street uppers, thats what you should look for.

race fairings are designed to eliminate lights as race bikes don't use them, however you may be able to cut the fairing to allow your light to fit. if the fairing is similar shape and size you can use cardboard to make a patten of you old headlight opening and transfer it to the race fairing.. good luck
