I have a 1974 Indian ME 100cc ultralight that is a very rare motorcycle. It uses a 6 volt system. The local bike shop owner tried to find a magneto for it for 6 months. If anyone has one or knows where one can be bought please email me at detroitdiesel1973@yahoo.com Thanks

John,,,Those bikes used what is actually a Hodaka engine.
(The 100 is the ONLY Indian which uses that engine,,all the rest were Italian)

You'll maybe "never" find Indian Parts,,
but Hodaka parts are available.

*This is a single coil,,,,it "should be" Ignition coil>>unless somebody switched positions.
The seller sez "smaller wire coil" is intact,,,which IS the Ignition coil.
Lighting coil used very much heavier gauge wire.

For secondary coil--the "Spark Plug Coil",,,any small '60'~80's dirt bike with a breaker point magneto will work.

I remember those things, but, I can't recall what they had for engines. Log on to www.vjmc.com (vintage japanese motorcycle club) you have to join to fully access the site, but, it may be a wealth of info and part sources for you? If it needs to be rewound you may be able to get it done at someplace where they repair electric motors.
