Carb work never worked on this kind of carb before?

hi i have a 1985 honda rebel and it high reves and then it acts like its running on one cyinder and then high revs again i never worked on this kind of carb could any body help me thanks

sounds like a typical vaccum leak someplace, see if the carb is tightened down good to the intake manifold and look around for any hoses that might be leaking, it's also possible that being that old the carb needs replaced or rebuilt.
