you have to be careful about safety studies of any kind. i'm not sure about the percentage that is claimed, but from personal experience (accidents in my area) most injuries are from things like getting struck by objects, like the bike you are riding, cars not involved directly in the accident. from accidents i have seen in my state (illinois no helmet law) most injuries are from the neck down, and i relly do not think that a helmet is going to be much help when you get struck by a two ton vehicle. but the best saying about safety on a motorcycle i have heard yet is "It's not what's on your head but in your head that makes you safe"My 2005 yamaha r6 will not start, the display says HI but will not start.?

Believe it or not its not as high as you would think. I read a study that it reduces the speed of your melon hitting whatever by 14 mph. Of the motorcycle accidents I have treated 1 probably died because of her helmet and one it wouldn't have made any difference it all depends on time and skill of the bike rider, sometime no matter what you do you'll get hit.More Questions & Answers ...
